London Film and Comic Con

July 15th, 2010

Just a heads up to anyone who may be attending this weekend, Team Giblets shall be at the London Film and Comic Con attempting to separate you from your hard earned cash with our fine collection of wares.

On a more personal note I’m going to see if I can get into a dramatic gladiatorial battle with guest of honour William Shatner or as we know him “Captain, master of the double handed punch, Kirk”. Shirts may get ripped XD

Minamicon 16, Minami goes legal.

May 14th, 2010

In all the post convention excitement and preperation for the upcoming London Expo I totally forgot to post about Minami, I hang my head in shame.

As always Minami was excellent fun and a continuing highlight of our convention going year. A video of our masquerade entry can be found below:

Thanks to Anna, Sam, Stupid Sexy Matto and Aaron for helping Claire and I out, your dedication to dance based comedy is greatly appriciated :)

Thanks also to Tab from Khaos Kostumes for my truly excellent state alchemists costume. If anyone reading this is looking to commission a cosplay outfit we here at Team Giblets recommended him very highly. To look at examples of his work or to request a quote go here.

Kitacon 2010

April 8th, 2010

Well it’s been nearly two weeks since Kitacon and I still don’t think we’ve entirely recovered from the experience. A truly excellent convention that Team Giblets fully intends to return to in 2011.

We would like to thank the Kitacon committee for asking us to make a video for their opening ceremony and for playing it even after viewing it beforehand. And we would especially like to thank them for the lovely award that they sprang on us at the closing ceremony :)

Cheers to all our various friends/lackeys who have helped us out over the years, without your support and willingness to take part in our filming shenanigans we wouldn’t have been able to do any of it, you all rock.

For your viewing pleasure we now have a host of video delights from Kitacon, just click the links below:

March 6th, 2010

Team Giblets is pleased to announce that we will be making our first trip beyond UK borders and will be attending Nom-Con this August in the lovely city of Dublin.

This was in no way influenced by my obscene love of Guinness :)

Welcome to the world of tomorrow!

January 27th, 2010

Well it’s 2010 which means the future is officialy here, so to honour that fact here is our current shedule for the year ahead. As you can see it’s a busy year for Team Giblets but we shall rise to the challenge.

October 2009 MCM Expo

November 4th, 2009

Well once agin we were rushed off our feet and afterwards I was struck down by Expo flu, but I would do it all again in an instant. It was a great weekend and it was a pleasure to see everyone who dropped by our stall.

For the curious and those who didn’t get a chance to see the cosplay panel I took part in on Saturday the full video can be found on our YouTube page or you can click the links below:

Part 4

The Expo was our last trading event for the year but you can still buy our lovely wares on the online shop, or if you’re looking to commission Claire for some artwork just send us an Email at teamgiblets@googlemail.com detailing what you would like and we will give you a quote.

Something Expo this way comes.

October 20th, 2009

Another Expo is almost here so Claire and I are frantically preparing an assortment of T-shirt and artwork based goodness, all designed to be a feast for the eyes. So come on by, say hi and see if we can tempt you with our original designs and winning smiles (smiles only guaranteed for as long as our supplies of energy drinks last).

I’m also going to be taking part in a cosplay panel with Tab from Khaos Kostumes and cosplay regulars Matt and Xaerael. The panel is titled “Making the Most of your Masquerade Moment” and it will be taking place on stage 2 on the Saturday at 11:45 - 12:30.

The panel will be covering the following:

Basic stage skills
* Acting in a masked costume
* Weilding weapons in a way that makes them look realistic

Walk On Guide
* Choosing the perfect music
* Pose timings and presence

Skit Guide:
* Scripting
* Performing
* Technical recording help
* General Dos and Don’ts of Skits

The stage is located in the artists alley area which is also handily next door to where our stall will be, which I have shown on this handy map. So if you happen to be about why not come by and take a look, then afterwards why not wander over to our stall and purchase a T-shirt XD

Ayacon, it rocked.

August 24th, 2009

Well Ayacon absolutely rocked our socks off, congratulations to the committee for putting on such an excellent event.

As always a big thank you to all the lovely people who came by to say hi and buy something off our fine stall, you all have impeccable taste :)

The skit writing panel also seemed to go down very well and a video chronicle of the entire presentation can be found on our YouTube channel.

My personal high point would have to be Sunday Night Live, kudos to Mark for organising an event that lived up to its variety show aspirations. We had great fun taking part and we were blown away by the reaction to our skit.

The Full Performance

Video Trailer

Special thanks to Claire, Sam, Anna, Adam, Kuroi Ryu, Bruce, Matto, Tasha and Mark. It wouldn’t have happened without you all.

And in case there is any doubt the hug with Matt Mercer was totally manly.

Our next event is the London Expo on the 24th and 25th of October, hope to see you all there.

Ayacon draws near.

August 13th, 2009

Well Ayacon is now only a few short hours away and naturally Team Giblets is ready to break out the awesome.

As well as being our usual badass selves Keith is going to be taking part in a skit writing panel on Friday between 6-7 pm. We can still be located during the day in our usual haunt, the dealers’ room. Come Sunday evening, be sure to check out Aya’s Sunday Night Live! We may be able to throw something together to amuse you all.

Animetion artist interview

August 13th, 2009

Those lovely folks at Animetion have been by again, this time interviewing Claire about her skills of an artist :)
