May 2009 MCM Expo

May 28th, 2009

Yet another fantastic Expo weekend, our personal write ups can be found here and here.

Once again the event seemed to be even more busy and packed full of people than the one before, so thank you to everyone who came by and said hello. And thanks to all you lovely people who purchased one of our T-shirts or some of art based wares.

Once we have had a proper chance to check our remaining stock we will be updating the online store with our new designs and sizes. So if you keep an eye on the main page over the next week or two and we will let you know when it has been updated.

Kitacon

April 22nd, 2009

It was the inaugural outing for the UK’s newest convention this past weekend as Kitacon finally exploded onto the UK scene. Sadly we were unable to go ourselves but we were there in spirit with a selection of video shorts from some of our previous convention outings being used as adverts between anime showings on the video schedule.

We also recorded some brand new footage that the Kitacon committee used in their opening ceremony (much to our delight); those of you familiar with this year’s infamous Sakuracon commercial may notice some similarities.

A big thank you to the Kitacon committee for using our footage and congratulations on a successful first convention.

We also have a change to our events schedule; we will not be attending the anime all-nighter in London next month. We have seen (and own) nearly all of what is being shown in this years line up so we are giving it a miss this time round.

Almost Minami Time

March 27th, 2009

Well, as many of you may realise it’s Minamicon this weekend! For those of you who don’t, Minami is the UK’s longest running convention, located in Team Giblets’ homecity of Southampton, UK.

The team will be in attendance, bringing our usual brand of humour, creativity and barefaced cheeky sales tactics to a convention that’s close to our hearts. If you’re in attendance, please be sure to pop by in the dealers’ room on the Saturday or Sunday!

If you are so inclined why not come to the Masquerade on Saturday evening as well, you might catch us doing some form of comedy based showmanship.

Auchinawa Flashback

January 17th, 2009

We’re taking a journey back in time to the mysterious year of 2006; it was during this year that the event known as Auchinawa was first unleashed upon the unsuspecting denizens of the north.

It was during this event that the idea for Team Giblets was formed, and it was also the time I donned a giant cardboard tube and we taught people the true meaning of being an anime badass in an omake skit that up until now has only been seen by the original attendees of Auchi 06.

But now thanks to those lovely people on the Auchinawa committee Team Giblets missing skit is now available to all, watch and enjoy :)

Auchinawa

December 2nd, 2008

Well Auchinawa was a blast, my personal write up about the experience can be found here. Congratulations to the committee for putting on such an entertaining event.

For your viewing pleasure we now have our entry for the Auchimake :)

Stay tuned over the next few weeks as hopefully we should have a couple of other video treats for you.

London Expo

October 29th, 2008

The Expo seems to get bigger and better every time we go, it was a truly fantastic though highly exhausting weekend (photos can be found on our Flickr account).

Once again thank you to everyone who came by and said hi or bought our artwork and T-shirts, you are automatically 10% more majestic than you were before the Expo.

Special thanks go to Bruce for overcoming horrifying illness to transport us to London, and to Kody for all his help on the stall as well as his crash course in salesmanship. Aptly demonstrated when he sold one of our Emo Cure T-shirts to a Crow cosplayer, a feat I was to emulate myself later in the weekend (That’s just how awesome these shirts are).

All in all it was an excellent weekend and a fitting end to our trading calender for the year.

Our next trading event will not be till 2009 at Minamicon 15 however if you are unable to wait till then to purchase some of our fine products just visit our online shop by following the link on the left hand side of the page.

In the meantime we will be attending Auchinawa this November where we will be kicking back and relaxing and quite possibly taking part in the Auchimake :)

Media Attention :)

September 26th, 2008

Alcon

September 8th, 2008

Well Alcon has come and gone in a blur of frenzied activity, it was quite the busy weekend.

Thanks to everyone who came by and purchased our fine wares, you are all people of impeccible taste and distinction.

Next event on the Team Giblets calendar is the October London Expo, so see you all there.

Amecon 2008 Omake Videos.

August 20th, 2008

Our Omake video is now up and running on our YouTube page, just click the link in this post or on the navigation bar. Thanks to Loki for letting us use his footage.

We have also posted the educational video we used during the skit and we have included a few extras at the end to give people a glimpse at the high levels of professionalism and planning that go into filming our Omake videos :)
